Wu Yuan River Stadium is a comprehensive stadium with a project area of 26000 m² and it took 125 days to complete. The stadium is a first-class stadium, which can hold national and individual international competitions, and can meet the requirements of the national winter training base site and supporting facilities for multiple projects.

In order to ensure the robustness of the building, we tailored a semi-crescent cable membrane roof for the asymmetrical shape of the stands. The transparent membrane material creates a relaxed and bright space effect on the towering west stand, while drastically reducing the weight of the roof and reducing the seismic load of the west high stand structure.

The roof of the stadium consists of two outer compression rings and an inner tension ring. The mirrored cable trusses are connected to the inner and outer rings in a spoke-like manner, and the overlying arch structure and membrane structure. The grandstand shape with high west and low east opens the main stand area to the sea and sports park on the northeast side, breaking the traditional closed layout, creating a unique open loop structure, allowing the audience to enjoy a unique view and good ventilation .

Our design combines marine characteristic elements and strives to create environmentally friendly buildings to achieve harmony between man and architecture, and architecture and the natural environment. Viewed from a distance, it looks like a transparent shell, calmly and gracefully attached to the beach, beautifully beautiful.

The interior of the stadium is also permeated with distinctive marine characteristics. The seats of the entire grandstand use a total of 6 colors, simulating the real color gradation and sense of scale of the ocean. The color changes from dark to light from top to bottom, just like the color of a beach from dark to light. The runway area has also chosen the corresponding blue to match the seats, allowing the audience to experience the feeling of being in the ocean while entering the stands.
